hi guys! this is a comic i made for a final in my comics in literature class. we had to do a research paper on a topic we’d discussed in class and then accompany it with a comic with a relevant subject. my paper was about hyper-sexualization of women in comic books, but i decided to broaden it out here as well as personalize it and make myself the subject and discuss something i’ve been subjected to in the convention circuit and on the internet as well as thousands of other women, as well as give a cue to thought about how the comic book industry as well as the video game industry and even just media in general (all of which are male dominated) push such ridiculous pressures onto girls and women.
also, it feels kind of silly to have to add this since i hope it’s obvious, but i am very aware that there are men that don’t subscribe to this attitude, and am incredibly grateful that these issues are brought to light to people other than the ones that are subjected to it.
anyway haha i have literally been staring at this for 9 hours i don’t even know which direction is up anymore. thanks for reading!!!
Hey ya’ll! If you’ve come out and said Hi to us at one of our book store events you’ve heard me talk about a story telling collaboration I’m doing with Petco this year
Long story short! I want to enable ya’ll to become story tellers, to share an awesome pet rescue or adoption story of those around you. Head over to www.beagreatone.com to hear more
But real quick, here are 3 reasons why I am pumped about this collaboration:
1) I am literally the person helping pick the winner, I’m looking at every single entry
2) There are some super generous awards. Not only for yourself, but each winner also receives a matching donation to their fav animal rescue/shelter/group. Legit.
3) I want to see your work!
Saw this on Fark today. All 20 Miss Korea contestants as a .gif
Every day in North America hundreds of innocent animals fall victim to over dramatic filter abuse.

Só sei que a foto me faz cantarolar: “If you meet me, have some courtesy. Have some sympathy, have some taste.”
Apparently, Dragon Ball Z-ing is a thing in Japan [16 pics]
better than planking
This was the weirdest orgy I’ve ever been to.
Some really weird things going on here
Get up, stand up!
